Actually, she is not the first Shakti. But she is the latest and she will be traveling and on display at the International Quilt Festival in Houston at the beginning of November as part of the Treasures of the Gypsy Challenge.
The challenge pack included the three fabrics used on her legs, skirt, and sash. There were also some of the trims and the lavender lace. To see her unclothed body, click here. She is a stump doll of sorts and not at all the typical doll shape.
After IQF, she will continue to travel with Pamela Armas of Treasures of the Gypsy as a sample doll for my pattern, also known as “Shakti.” For those who frequent shows and are familiar with Treasures of the Gypsy, you will know that she does have treasures to sell in abundance. She also sells this pattern. For those of you who want it now, it is also available online at Doll Makers Journey.
