Laced Herringbone Square

I’ve been working on my armadillo again.  Just a little.  I’ve added a few laced herringbone squares to each side of the body armor.  This stitch is the latest in the Take a Stitch Tuesday challenge from pintangle.

laced herringbone squareThe stitch starts as a plain herringbone square as seen on the right and is then laced and wrapped in the center with a double cross stitch.

  1. It seems like you’re enjoying him, and that’s the main thing, after all. Although I know how hard it can be to go slow on something when you’re having fun!

Your stitching looks very nice and I bet your armadillo is going to look super neat when you’re finished.
