Whipped Wheel

Spring has definitely come to Baton Rouge!  Green is everywhere.  Flowers are in full bloom.  Time to think about picnics, playing outdoors, and going to the beach.  This week’s challenge stitch for Take a Stitch Tuesday, the Whipped Wheel, makes me thinks of seashells.  And that was the inspiration for my sampler.

Shisha mirrors on a base of wool, cheesecloth and felt

A bit of cotton under the shisha mirror before it is stitched down gives it some extra dimension.  This one reminds me of the spider webs that we often see in the grass in our back yard.
