Just a quick post before the children arrive. This week’s TAST stitch is knotted cable chain. I have to say that I love this stitch! It looks great and it’s very easy to do. It’s rather like the oyster stitch from a while back only the second part is elongated and strung together instead of isolated.
The armadillo is coming along quite nicely if slowly. The outer shell now has shape and new stitching.
I’ve used magenta crewel wool on the stitching. It coordinates with the fabrics that I’ve chosen for the rest of his body.
Sharon of Pintangle, the sponsor of this weekly challenge, says this is the last stitch of this year. We’ll be starting up again sometime in January. This may give me the time I need to reorganize my sewing studio. It sure needs it.
It is a lovely stitch, and makes a very delicate edging there!
