I’m glad I liked the stitch from last week’s Take a Stitch Tuesday Challenge because this week’s is a variation of the same thing.
I’ve added a radiant yellow sun-burst around the heart of my doll-to-be.
Instead of being pointed on both ends, the open base picot is wide at the base giving it a triangular shape. The closed base picot is more leaf shaped. Both are lots of fun, not too difficult, and spectacular in results.
Beautiful work! Looking forward to the doll when it is complete.
Your picots are perfect. Beautiful variegated thread.

Threads and background work so well! Like it!

Lovely stitching. What a beautiful background fabric.
Thanks, that’s a piece of hand painted fabric from a class last year with Leslie Riley. I love the hot colors together.
